Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service

Help your field team arrive ready to do the work

Your organisation uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service, but planners and field employees still spend time chasing details. Mason Pete helps improve the setup from planning a visit to recording the work completed.

Does a planned visit still need too many phone calls?

Work orders arrive incomplete

Planners need to ask for missing information before they can organise the work.

Scheduling is hard to keep clear

The team struggles to match the work, availability and requirements in the current setup.

Updates wait until later

Field employees lack useful information or have to record the same work again after a visit.

How Mason Pete helps

We start with the work your team needs to do, then review the configuration you already have.

Improve the work order

Review the information, tasks and requirements that employees need before a visit can be planned.

Make planning easier to follow

Review scheduling settings and the views your planners use to assign and monitor work.

Support the work on site

Review mobile forms and completion steps with field employees, including how they find information and record progress.

General example

Prepare a routine visit with the right information

A planner books a maintenance visit, but the field employee has to call the office for the equipment details and the work expected.

What we could change

We could agree the information a work order needs, review scheduling requirements and configure the mobile view around the tasks performed on site. The planner and field employee would test the full visit together.

What we would check with the team

Check whether the employee can find the work details, record what happened and flag an unfinished task. Test how the planner sees those updates and handles a changed appointment.

What we do together

You work directly with Peter Beentjes. He brings business, technical and commercial understanding to the choices you need to make.

  1. 1. Understand the current work

Walk through everyday tasks with employees and review the existing configuration. Agree which problem matters most.

  2. 2. Use standard Microsoft functionality first

Check the capabilities available in your current setup and licences. Prefer configuration that your organisation can understand and manage.

  3. 3. Configure and test the change

Agree the change, test it in an appropriate environment and work through normal tasks and exceptions with your team before release.

  4. 4. Explain and hand over

Document the changes and the reasons behind them. Help employees use the setup and give its owners the information they need to maintain it.

What you leave with

An agreed work-order process, reviewed planning and mobile configuration, test findings and practical guidance for planners and field employees.

Start with the task that gets in the way

Tell us which application you use, what your team is trying to do and where the current setup makes that difficult. You do not need to know the technical answer.
